Searching this phrase again today I have found that, rightly, Buzzbee Homes now ranks for the phrase "Buzzbee Homes". Number 3 in fact, one above my site. Interestingly this only happened after I referenced them in my blog
"Buzzbee Homes - Why they can't be found in Google" with a link titled Buzzbee Homes.
I think this is more than coincidence. Google always preferences sites with the search phrase or keyword in the URL and of course Buzzbee Home website is at www.buzzbee.com.au. Previous to my rants Buzzbee Homes didnt rank and it was probably that way since the site went live, after my rants there it is!
Google looks at something like 200 variables to deliver search results and having your keyword in the URL is a highly effective variable but as you can see through this "Buzbee" experince I have been blogging about it is definately not the only one.
I certainly dont want to clain the ranking for a phrase like "Buzzbee Homes" is difficult or important but it does highlight some of the SEO techniques that can be used to great effect on more difficult phrases.
On a side note my wife and I popped out toBuzzbee Homes and spoke to the salesman, Mark Brown, we liked the display home and are waiting to get a preliminary quote from them.
